We will use block printing and drawing to create images and illustrations within a stitched tiny silk and wool art book. We can add your own precious items within the pages to make a truly personalised and unique book to treasure. We will be using wonderful items from India and carefully chosen, simple techniques and stitches to create pages full of beauty and texture. You will be able to build upon what we have learned to continue adding to your textile books and to create more.

1 metre of medium weight calico
one metre of bondaweb,
an 18 x 5 (inch) piece of wool fabric,
a few sheets of neutral coloured craft felt,
pritt stick,
detail and paper scissors,
sewing kit with a variety of needles and threads,
silk sari strips,
pieces of small ephemera, broken jewellery, pieces of precious fabric and lace,
a selection of paintbrushes,
an apron and thin gloves,
your glasses!,
white and gold Signo gel pens,
a few finliner black pens including a 0.1 nib.

Paula will have a variety of beautiful items for sale from India including braids, sequins, and fabrics. She can provide packs of sari silk, vintage lace and buttons. Prices from £2 for sequins and pieces of braid, £10 for sari silks kit including wool fabric. India wood blocks from £6-£18
