Summary
Using block printing with mixed media, wool, silk and other textiles we will create wonderful tiny stitched books. We can incoporate precious found objects and materials within the pages. Many techniques will be taught as part of this very popular course
Description
Please bring with you
one metre of bondaweb,
an 18 x 5 (inch) piece of wool fabric,
a few sheets of neutral coloured craft felt,
pritt stick,
detail and paper scissors,
sewing kit with a variety of needles and threads,
silk sari strips,
pieces of small ephemera, broken jewellery, pieces of precious fabric and lace,
a selection of paintbrushes,
an apron and thin gloves,
your glasses!,
white and gold Signo gel pens,
a few finliner black pens including a 0.1 nib.

Paula has been a textile amd mixed media artist, tutor, author and illustrator for over 30 years. She is tour leader for textile holidays to India and teaches in the UK and abroad. She loves to share her joy of art, life and learning and delights in seeing carefully chosen, simple techniques bringing our imagination to life in our artwork.
