Upholstery Restoration
Tutor: Heather Breed - NEW TUTORCourse Code: 3425-05

Summary

This is a project led course with students providing their own upholstery project to work on under the expert eye and with guidance from Heather, our new experienced upholsterer and upholstery tutor.

Description

The projects students will be working on can be varied, and a mix of traditional and modern techniques will be covered. This course is suitable for intermediates and the more experienced upholsteter, so the group could be a mixture of all levels with a wide range of furniture being worked on. Entire beginners are recommended to look at the introduction to upholstery course being run the week before, which covers all the skills necessary to traditionally upholster a seat, and provides all the materials to do so.
As this course will now be held at Missenden Abbey, alongside many other summer school courses and subjects, a 3 course lunch is now included for all, as well as tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes in the breaks. A full board residential option is also available.
