Description
This is a three day course that will show you how to draw a mandarin and mallard duck with coloured pencil. Using demonstrations and working from photographs supplied by the tutor, you will be shown how each technique can be achieved. The course will be run in a friendly and relaxed manner and is an ideal way of moving on to other subjects where coloured pencil can be used. Aimed at students of all abilities, especially beginners and students with some knowledge.
Please bring with you
One pad or a few sheets of smooth, white cartridge paper or hot pressed watercolour paper. Aproximately A4 in size.
One medium size pack of artists quality coloured pencils (Derwent, Faber Castel, Caran Dache, Lyra or WH Smith). As many different colours as possible.
If you have watercolour pencils then these can also be used dry.
Pencil sharpener, 2B & 4B (or softer) pencil, eraser
The tutor will have a selection of pencils available to borrow on the day but may not have enough for everyone
The following items can be purchased from your tutor
A sheet of grey Stonehenge paper will be supplied by the tutor, 1 per student, at a cost of £2 per person payable on the day
