Mosaic Knitting and Slip-stitch Colourwork
Tutor: Anna NikipirowiczCourse Code: 0825-03
Summary
Mosaic and slip stitch knitting are great techniques to achieve beautiful colourwork while working just one colour per row.
Description
During the first part of the class, you will learn how to knit using the mosaic technique. It produces a gorgeous colour pattern which appears to be very complicated, but in fact it's as easy as stripe knitting. We will work in stocking stitch and then garter stitch. In the second part we will cover slip stitch colourwork technique. This method allows you to create different effects by moving stitches and working with one colour per row. We will work on swatches during the class, but participants will be given a pattern for a cowl that combines both of the techniques covered, so you can practise your newly-learned skills.
