Summary
This is a project led course with students providing their own upholstery project to work on under the expert eye and with guidance from a very experienced upholsterer and tutor.
Description
The projects students will be working on will be varied, and a mix of traditional and modern techniques will be covered. The course is suitable for both beginners and the more experienced and the group will be a mixture of all levels.
This course is to be held at the Oldham Hall in Church St, Great Missenden (approx 8 minute walk from Missenden Abbey). There is limited car parking at the Oldham Hall but students are free to leave their cars at Missenden Abbey should they wish.
Please note that although morning and afternoon refreshments are provided as part of the course fee, lunches are not included. Students are welcome to bring their own or purchase lunch from a selection of local shops, cafes or pubs.
Although a residential option is not offered for this course, it is possible for this to be arranged. Students who would like the option of staying at Missenden Abbey are requested to contact us directly to discuss.

David James is a member of the Guild of Traditional Upholsterers and an honorary member of the City and Guilds of London. David has produced videos on upholstery and is the author of seven books on the subject. He has 40 years experience as a tutor in adult education.
