Wet Feltmaking - Nuno
Tutor: Clare BullockCourse Code: 1624-05

Enjoy two wonderful days learning all about the joy of Nuno felt making. Be inspired by the colours and textures of this beautiful technique, which is very addictive. It doesn't matter if you are a complete beginner or a returning student, this technique can be done by one and all.

During this workshop we will learn how to make fine Nuno felt. This is a combination of wool fibre and fabrics fused together using just soap, water and a little gentle rubbing. The pieces made on this workshop can be further embellished with a little stitch.  You will learn how to blend colours and gain a practical knowledge of the process so you can continue to experiment at home.

Clare Bullock

I have always had a love for colour and texture and have tried a number of different creative mediums over the years in an attempt to express myself. 18 years ago I discovered the joy of wet feltmaking and I have never looked back. Feltmaking gives me the outlet I need to express myself and its versatility enables me to explore everything from making garments to accessories and jewellery to sculpture and imagery. I completed my City and Guilds in Feltmaking at Missenden Abby under the watchful eye of Jenny Compton and now I am privileged to have worked with a number of guilds, colleges and organisations over the years.
