Summary
Art Journalling is a huge subject and there are so many styles and techniques to be learned. It is really enjoyable to spend each Summer School exploring a series of different themes and some of the special techniques associated with these.
Description
In 2022 we will be making Mini Books. We will be looking at how exploring techniques in miniature can result in some exquisite pieces of work. We will be using a mixed media approach in our work, involving card, paper and fabric along with some unusual and vintage materials. We will be printing, drawing, embellishing with stitch and using collage to bring the pieces together. These tiny pieces of art are a delightful way to Art Journal in a unique and delightful way.

Apron and Gloves
Mask
Medium weight Calico, half metre
Toilet roll (complete roll)
Pack of baby wipes
Small set of watercolour paints
Some used empty teabags.
PVA glue
Pritt stick x2
Acrylic paint: coloursof your choice including black, large tube of white, metallic
Brushes: a variety including coarse and finer detail brushes
Needles and thread
Heat gun
Journal of your choice with sturdy cartridge paper pages
Printer paper: lots
Black and white card
Fine liner black pens such as Uni Pin. Variety of nib sizes
Gel pens: Signo. White, gold etc
Sharp scissors for paper and fabric. Detail cutting scissors
Ruler, eraser, pencil
Lino cutting tools
Cutting mat
Old baking tray with a lip around it
