Watercolour with more than a hint of INK
Tutor: Jackie Devereux Course Code: 3322-07
Summary
Explore the watercolour medium beyond the 'norm', with more than a hint of risk taking, as we think out of the box, experiment and stretch our ideas, and lose ourselves in colour.
Description
This three day workshop will be aimed at discovery: 'what if I do this?', or 'shall I do that?' Embracing and mixing this amazing medium with your own imagination, and interpreting the world around you, will undoubtedly unlock the sometimes hidden creative person within. Come along for the ride, and bring ink just in case!

Jackie Devereux

Greatly influenced by Japanese art and the light of southern France, Jackie’s work ranges from pure contemporary watercolour on a large scale, to delicate pencil and expressive pen and ink – all experimental in nature. She has travelled extensively and as drawing is an integral part of her work and development her sketchbook is her constant companion. An experienced adult tutor, Jackie enjoys working with groups and sharing her ideas and techniques and watching others develop their potential.
Jackie’s work is well published and collected internationally. She has exhibited widely throughout the UK and France, as well as in the USA and Japan. She has shown with the RWS, RI and with the Society of Graphic Fine Art regularly in Menier Gallery, Southwark and Bankside Gallery, London. Jackie was elected President of the Society of Graphic Fine Art for five years.
