Crochet without borders! Look forward to a relaxing weekend with a combination of workshops tailored to your experience and what you would like to learn, working on new or existing projects.
We will start the weekend with a Freeform Crochet workshop, where you will learn to make several different stitches and techniques to make your own scrumble. We will continue investigating freeform in the afternoon, or you will have the opportunity to ask Diana any crochet question. Diana is an experienced tutor and has knowledge in the following areas:
Diana can show you how to crochet, starting methods including foundation chain (hints and tips to make it easier) starting in the round, standing stitches, magic ring, foundation double crochet, working in rows with straight edges, working in the round, amigurumi methods, joining limbs, sewing up, making hair, loop stitches, designing amigurumi, filet, broomstick, hairpin, crochet cables (post stitches, or back loop) tapestry crochet (3 different techniques), Tunisian and mosaic crochet. Following charts, reading patterns, increasing, decreasing, tension swatches, blocking techniques, all the stitches – slip stitch, double crochet, half treble, treble, double treble (and more!) , Freeform crochet including bullion stitch, spike stitches and surface crochet, creating texture with shells, clusters, bobbles puff stitches and popcorns. Due to the random nature of the project, you will need to supply the following:
