How Wet is Wet-into-Wet? More drizzling and drooling over pure Watercolour
Tutor: Jackie Devereux PSGFACourse Code: 1320-03

Summary

A weekend dedicated to developing the joys of creating confident, loose watercolours - definitely not pale and insipid - but not quite mad! Thoroughly learning the basics of brushwork, simple colour mixing, as well as taking on board the basics of good composition, will be the main objectives for this weekend. Observation and how to interpret a subject through a series of experimental exercises, will undoubtedly lead you another level! Be prepared for spills and thrills!

Jackie Devereux PSGFA

Greatly influenced by Japanese art and the light of southern France, Jackie’s work ranges from pure contemporary watercolour on a large scale, to delicate pencil and expressive pen and ink – all experimental in nature. She has travelled extensively and as drawing is an integral part of her work and development her sketchbook is her constant companion. An experienced adult tutor, Jackie enjoys working with groups and sharing her ideas and techniques and watching others develop their potential.

Jackie’s work is well published and collected internationally. She has exhibited widely throughout the UK and France, as well as in the USA and Japan. She has shown with the RWS, RI and with the Society of Graphic Fine Art regularly in Menier Gallery, Southwark and Bankside Gallery, London. Jackie was elected President of the Society of Graphic Fine Art for five years.
