Summary

Join Stephanie in creating A Festival Of Colour through bead weaving techniques. Have fun with colour, texture and shapes to produce some stunning pieces of jewellery and accessories to keep or give as presents. A really fun course with lots of learning along the way. This would also make a great introduction to this lovely art form as there will be a selection of pieces to choose from with varying degrees of skill levels.

Description

Students will be able to choose from a selection of projects, all of which will have various skill levels to suit individual learning needs. Students will be given advice on colour and the use of different beads. Several techniques will be covered with detailed notes on each project to take home to allow students to complete their projects if not quite complete at the time of finishing the course. But above all, a great course in at atmosphere of like minded people with lots of learning and lots of fun.

Below is a basic list of materials you will need, the tutor will be bringing supplies to purchase also. Please feel free to bring your Bead Stash if you have one, it's often possible to substitute beads.

Size 8, 11 & 15 seed beads
Size 11 Delica beads
14mm rivolis
Size 2, 3 & 4mm pearls
Size 3, 4mm bi cone crystals
Beading needles, thread and small, sharp scissors
A magnifier if you usually use one at home

Stephanie comes from a textile background. After completing her City & Guilds in Creative Studies & Embroidery she then discovered beadwork which is now a passion. Stephanie has written five books to date and has taught extensively throughout the UK and Japan.
